Patients at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse now have another benchmark to measure safety and treatment quality for cancer treatment. We are pleased to announce that we recently recertified as a Novalis® Certified cancer centre. The Novalis Certification is an independent accreditation program that promotes the delivery of cranial and body radiosurgery at a level of efficacy and safety corresponding with a very high standard of clinical practice.

Chris O’Brien Lifehouse recently went through this review for our stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) program which involve the delivering of very high doses of radiation primarily to brain tumours. The review involved working with the neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, medical physicists and radiation therapists to examine all aspects of our SRS program

Upon becoming Novalis Certified, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse joins a prestigious community of hospitals around the world that have demonstrated the requisite clinical capabilities and standards for treatment delivery. We are pleased that we are the first centre in Australia to have been recertified in the Novalis Circle program.
