We just installed and went live with Exactrac Dynamic 2.0. Is there a way to generate a template the is x-ray only, no surface guidance? Our patient has a very posterior isocenter and very large abdomen and the surface guidance cannot track the patient which made for a disastrous treatment. Thanks.
Good morning! You cannot turn off surface tracking. It is part of every workflow. The only thing you can do specifically for this patient is: In the preparation app, use the regular x-ray workflow, disable beam hold and use very large surface tracking tolerances. That way, you will only be observing the patient with the surface, but your treatment should not be affected if the surface is not reliable. In general (it may not apply to this particular patient), it usually helps to improve the accuracy and reliability of surface tracking by choosing your Surface Tracking Area (STA) wisely.
